AB70

AB70 was held at Merville Barracks Colchester, home to 16 Air Assault Brigade, on Saturday 24th July 2010. This was a special event,
organised by 16 Air Assault Brigade to mark the 70th anniversary of the formation of Airborne Forces. Attractions included ABF Units
Parade & Drumhead Service, PRA March Past, Military Parachuting from Sky Van and Beating the Retreat by the Parachute Regiment
Band. AB70 was well attended and the following photos, which were taken by Mike Collins, PRA Secretary, illustrate a few of the events
which were enjoyed by a large number of serving soldiers and their families and many PRA members. Airborne events at Colchester usually
attract good weather and this year was no exception.
